Let´s Visit: Khanenko Museum Art Collection in Aschaffenburg
Dear art friends,
we have a rare possibility to discover masterpieces of European Art History from Kyijw in Aschaffenburg at the Schad Museum. Let's go.
Among the artists on display will be Peter Paul Rubens, Bernardo Bellotto, Claude-Joseph Vernet, Pieter Brueghel the Younger, Jacob Jordaens, and Antonio Canova. These will be complemented by works from the workshops of Hieronymus Bosch and Rembrandt.
The exhibition is the result of an exceptional international collaboration between the Khanenko National Museum and the Museums of the City of Aschaffenburg. Selected works from the Khanenko Museum’s collection have already been shown in recent years at various European exhibition venues to ensure their preservation while maintaining public accessibility. At the Christian Schad Museum, they are now brought together for the first time in this comprehensive presentation, making the exhibition the most important and extensive display of Ukrainian cultural heritage in Europe since the beginning of the war.
After our visit at the museum, a lunch break or having a coffee would be a great idea.
