Let´s Visit Together: Dragons - Myth and Reality in Darmstadt

Dear friends,

For thousands of years, dragons have captured the human imagination. These fascinating mythical creatures have been at the heart of great stories, from ancient myths to today's most popular films and television series. They also continue to inspire children's books, games, and toys around the world.

The exhibition explores how dragons have been portrayed across different cultures. In European traditions, they are often depicted as fearsome creatures that combine the traits of serpents and powerful predators. In contrast, dragons in China, Korea, and Japan are generally regarded as benevolent beings and cosmic forces that maintain the balance of nature.
