What is better than treating yourself to some sausages, burgers and other delicious food after you just climbed Protected content ? Sunday we're hiking up to Rigi Scheidegg and enjoy good food and a nice view.

We'll start from Protected content and first hike up on the north face to Gätterlipass. From there we'll be in the sunshine while we follow the ridge to Scheidegg.

At Scheidegg there is a so called Gruebi, a typical picnic shelter found in the canton Schwyz with barbecue and a fresh wood supply. We will have a long break there since we'll have to make fire and cook our food.

After that relaxation we're ready to decent to Vitznau, we will swirl through some Alps at first and then move into the forest. Just before Vitznau we will appear from the woods again and have a low view over the village and the Vierwaldstättensee.

Route can be found here:Protected content
I don't expect any snow since we will only be on the north face until Gätterlipass at Protected content . The rest of the ascent will be on the sunny south side.
