Chemin De Gruyere Hike (Charmey to Gruyere) + Cheese Festival

The Gruyère Trail offers many surprises: the wild and romantic Lake Montsalvens and the famous Gruyères Castle.

The route follows the shore of Lake Montsalvens to reach the dam, the first structure in Europe with a double-curved arch, dating from Protected content . Once at the dam, you will ascend towards Châtel-sur-Montsalvens. Along the way, you will have the opportunity to glimpse the ruins of Châtel-sur-Montsalvens Castle. In Broc stands the former pilgrimage church of Notre-Dame des Marches, dating back to Protected content .
