Stanserhorn – Wirzweli, Dallenwil

A scenic hike from Stanserhorn via Gummenalp to Wirzweli above Dallenwil. A unique journey awaits you on the historic funicular railway and the open-air cable car with its upper deck.

The hike start at Stanserhorn mountain station and ends at Wirzweli.

How to get there:

By Car:

It takes 1:10 Hr from Zurich to Dallenwil Valley Station

Parking: Wiesenbergstrasse 25, Protected content

Arrive at parking at 8:30 than walk 15min to Dallenwil train station and take the train at 9:04 to Stans bahnhof arriving at 9:09 than walk 5 min to the Stanserhorn Valley station.
Train Cost : CHF2.8

Total cost: CHF2.8(train) +CHF20.5(cabrio gondola)+CHF5.9(cable)= CHF29.2

By Train:

Zurich HB IR70 platform 13 at 8:10 to Stans train station arriving at 09:18 TRAIN COST: CHF31

Walk 5 min from Stans train station to Stanserhorn Valley Station

Total cost: CHF31(train)+CHF20.5(cabrio cable gondola) +5.9(gondola)= CHF57.4

PLEASE TAKE NOTE THAT THE CABLE CAR FROM WIRSWELI TO DALLENWIL IS CHF 5.9

AFTER THE HIKE, WE WILL DRIVE 7 MIN TO STANDBAD AT STANSSTAD AND TAKE A DIVE IN THE LAKE (if we still have the energy and motivation)
