Let’s Go for a Kayak Ride on Kinder Lake!
Let’s go for a kayak ride on the lake at Discover Green! You can also rent and navigate a radio-controlled boat around the lake, if you prefer!
Please be on time. Once we get there we will start renting kayaks and if you are late you may only find us kayaking on the lake or when we finish our rounds of kayaking. The kayak/boat renting is subject to availability.
Every weekend this spring, you can go for a leisurely kayak ride or navigate a radio-controlled boat around Kinder Lake at Discovery Green. Rentals are provided by Bayou City Adventures and are subject to weather conditions. No reservation required. Kayak rentals are $5 per person. R/C Sail Boat Rentals: The cost is $5 per boat for 15 minutes.
Kayak Rides - Facts to know before you go:
o Kayak rides are $5 per person. (Includes kayak rental and ride)
o Children must be signed in by a parent or guardian, no exceptions.
o Parents, you don't have to ride if you do not want to. The kayaks will be limited to two children and a guide OR one adult, one child and a guide. (3-person maximum)
o Each ride will consist of two laps around Kinder Lake.
o Wear clothes you don't mind getting wet! Life jackets will be provided to all guests
o Only approved kayaks rented through Bayou City Adventures can be used on Kinder Lake.
Kayaking on Kinder Lake at Discovery Green®is a fun and easy way to try out this water sport beneath the shadow of the Houston skyline. Leisurely kayak or paddle around the shallow Kinder Lake and enjoy all the fish swimming beneath the surface. Kayak and SUP rentals is provided by Bayou City Adventures and subject to weather conditions.
