Oppenheimer

Theoretical physicist J. Robert Oppenheimer ( Protected content ) was the scientist who, under the Manhattan Project, headed the Los Alamos laboratory during World War II, where the atomic bomb was developed. It is a complicated legacy, which he himself tried to deal with while still alive.
The British Christopher Nolan – director of "Memento", "Inception", "The Third Step", "Interstellar" or "Tenet" – wrote and directed this epic biopic in which Cillian Murphy plays the scientist, telling the story how it all happened. It is adapted from the biography American Prometheus: The Triumph and Tragedy of J. Robert Oppenheimer, written by Kai Bird and Martin J. Sherwin in Protected content .
In the cast, Murphy, the Irish actor who headed the popular series Peaky Blinders and who now has his first leading role in a large-scale film, is accompanied by names like Florence Pugh, Emily Blunt, Matt Damon, Robert Downey Jr. , Rami Malek, Kenneth Branagh, Olivia Thirlby, Benny Safdie, Josh Hartnett or Matthew Modine, playing people involved in the project. It's one of Universal Pictures' big bets for the summer of Protected content .
