Akhnaten by Philip Glass from the NY Met
Philip Glass, one of the founders of minimal music, is most widely known for his film music, but his main oeuvre is non-commercial, including several extraordinary operas. This one is about Pharaoh Akhnaten, who introduced montheism to ancient Egypt.
For adventurous opera goers only, who like Glass' music, sung in Akkadian, ancient Egyptian and Hebrew. We will see a spectacular production with beautiful costumes and jugglers, which won the Protected content Award for Best New Opera Production, see this trailer:
