Nikita Curtis - Support: Fuller Post Punk
Nikita Curtis
In times like these, solace is a rare commodity—something few are able to attain. Some seek it through the accumulation of material goods or by immersing themselves entirely in their careers. Others find it in ignorance and cynicism toward the past and the future, retreating into a private existence. NIKITA CURTIS offer a more nuanced compromise: focused anger and disillusionment, yes, but tempered with a dash of resilience that allows one to keep moving forward, undeterred. What else is left? What can emerge from this? Their debut EP, "Where The Water Ends" Protected content , provides a clear answer: music and artistic expression as a form of self-therapy.
The Leipzig-based quartet demonstrates that even in the most hopeless of climates, a downpour can be seen as a refreshing. The anger here is honest and direct. It is the renaissance of a sound that, amidst pandemics and wars, captures the spirit of a generation living through a period of profound upheaval.
