Weltweit leben über Protected content Menschen an aktiven Vulkanen. Die Böden sind fruchtbar, doch die Gefahren immens. Die Fotografin Ulla Lohmann erzählt von indigenen Völkern am Fusse von Vulkanen, von Mumien, Schwefelträgern und tanzenden Gestalten im glühenden Feuer. Ihr langjähriges Herzensprojekt führt sie als erste Frau der Welt Protected content tief in den Krater eines brodelnden Vulkans und auf knapp Protected content zum höchsten Punkt der Atacamawüste
