Japan Day Düsseldorf
Japan Day Düsseldorf/NRW Protected content take place on Saturday, May 23rd, Protected content . As one of the largest Japanese cultural festivals in Europe, it transforms Düsseldorf's Rhine embankment promenade into a celebration of encounters with traditional culture, modern pop culture, culinary highlights and a big final fireworks display.
Numerous stalls with Asian delicacies, cosplay performances, music, sports and martial arts demonstrations are expected.
Fireworks: The day ends with a spectacular, traditional Japanese fireworks display over the Rhine.
We will combine this with overnight stay in Düsseldorf and then visiting the Japanese garden and some good Japanese restaurant on Sunday and the back to Heidelberg.
Ofcourse those who do not want to stay overnight can drive back to Heidelberg on saturday night after the spectacular fireworks.
if you decide to stay then make sure to book your hotel/ air b and b well in advance. pl. write in comment if you wish to visit the Japanese garden and restaurant on Sunday so i can make the restaurant reservation accordingly.
