Documentary Film: to Make a Stranger Your Own
On the 17th July from 6 p.m. the Karlstorkino shows the film To Make a Stranger Your Own in cooperation with the Friends of Arab Art and Culture.
The documentary accompanies three Muslim and a Christian family in northern India, who are exposed to social exclusion and discrimination because of their religion and caste affiliation and have become victims of violent hatred.
Following the film screening, a moderated director's talk will take place between director Ayon Mukherji and cultural anthropologist Leyla Jagiella.
