Klassik Pur!
TrioPlus with Karin Dornbusch, clarinet
Museum Kleines Klingental
Unterer Rheinweg 26, Protected content
This concert features Swedish clarinetist Karin Dornbusch, who has been living in Basel for many years. Karin has shown us her virtuosity and charm many times through her performances of classical and contemporary music, also jazz.
This program is dedicated entirely to music of the 18th and early 19th centuries with works by Haydn and Mozart, also a delightful quartet by the Czech composer Franz Krommer. The children will listen to this piece up front near the stage where they can observe the musicians in action. Then they will go to a musical workshop in another part of the museum. This workshop is supervised by experienced pedagogical experts who know how to engage your children in a creative, interactive session where they can explore the music they just heard. The remaining audience members will now be able to enjoy the rest of the program in peace and quiet.
Because of the advantageous ticket prices for people bringing children (ages 4 to 12), adults won't need to find a babysitter and will be able to enjoy the rest of the program knowing that their kids are well taken care of.
These concerts are always followed by a traditional apéro where the audience can mingle with the musicians. The children have a special table and can show us what they accomplished in the musical workshop.
We look forward to seeing you at the concert!
