MARIA TORO QUARTET

With an idea that is born in flamenco and grows in jazz, Toro has spent years paving the way towards his own language. Her permanent physical journey has allowed her to become infected with local musicians without abandoning his roots, which brings accents and textures to his solo work. Whether it is with prominent European artists, from the New York jazz scene or with leading figures in Brazilian music, the project has a common denominator: María's unmistakable flute. Endowed with a distinguishable melodic personality from the first note, Toro has managed to combine her skills as a composer with a high level of arrangements and production. All this bears his signature, regardless of his companions, making clear a truth as topical as it is overwhelming: music knows no borders. And if transported through the Bull's flute, it becomes decidedly universal.
I have bought my ticket for Primer anfiteatro row 1; seat 18.
