SOLD OUT - Tirititrán Festival: Antonio Lizana (Flamenco Jazz)
A crossroads and meeting point for jazz and flamenco musicians, offering unique evenings with the most important representatives of this indigenous and unique genre, which was born here and continues to grow and open up new horizons.
In this format, accompanied by maestro José Manuel León on flamenco guitar, Antonio Lizana shows us his most flamenco side, evoking the landscapes of his homeland, San Fernando, in the heart of the Bay of Cádiz. Using a selection of his own compositions as a starting point, the musicians navigate between different flamenco styles, offering us moments of traditional singing, which suddenly receive a response with a saxophone melody that aims to elevate us to the highest echelons of contemporary jazz. The avant-garde sound of José Manuel León's guitar creates an ideal base for Lizana to express himself without limits, both with his voice and his saxophone, and makes us feel emphatically that we are in the presence of an artist whose roots are going deeper and deeper, so that his branches can continue to expand without limit.
