CARLES PEREIRA QUARTET
Carles Pereira is an award-winning drummer and jazz composer born and based in Barcelona, Spain. Having played drums since his first year of life, Carles developed an eclectic musical background through living in Asia, Europe, and North America, listening to and performing music ranging from rock to Uyghur folk, and everything in between.
In Protected content , he studied at Berklee College of Music in Boston, USA, with scholarships from Berklee, Zildjian, and the Percussive Arts Society (PAS), and he won the Yamaha Young Performing Artist award in Protected content the drum category. Shortly after graduating from Berklee with honors in Protected content , Carles received a scholarship to study at the New England Conservatory in Boston, where he earned his Master’s degree in Jazz Composition with honors in Protected content .
