Berlin Debut: Saxophone Ensemble Vento do Norte (Portugal)
Following a Classical Saxophone Festival in Leipzig, Henk van Twillert presents his international ensemble Vento do Norte in Berlin, together with special guest Frank Liebscher (Leipzig).
As the saxophone is a very various instrument, this sunday afternoon we will enjoy its use beside of jazz:
The program ranges from striking arrangements of Bach, Mendelssohn and Schubert to the melancholic beauty of Fado and the passionate drive of Piazzolla's Tango, complemented by the expressive depth of Leonard Cohen's music.
A concert highlight not to be missed! Free admission – donations welcome.
If you like I can arrange a "meet&greet" with the musicians after the concert!
Find the church "Zum Heilsbronnen" just a few steps away from U7 Bayerischer Platz/ Ausgang Heilbronner Straße.
Let´s meet on the left side of the entrance hall immediately behind the church entrance door.
After the concert we can grap a drink or a pizza in the neighborhood Bayerisches Viertel.
