The travel talk will be given in German, but at the end you will have the opportunity to ask questions in English.
What is it about:
Judith Döker enjoyed a successful career as an actress for many years. She rose to fame as the lead actress in the Sat.1 comedy series “Weibsbilder,” and later appeared in shows such as “Tatort,” “Nord Nord Mord,” etc.
In Protected content , she made a life-changing decision: she left her old life behind and moved to Mumbai.
After that, her journey took her to countries that many people know only from the news—to Pakistan, Iran, refugee camps in Lebanon, and even to Syria during the war. Just before this trip, German police suddenly showed up at her Berlin apartment. She was asked to sign a document stating that she would cover the costs herself in the event of a kidnapping. She signed it. And went on her trip anyway.
A show that, with a healthy dose of humor, offers valuable insights for our times.
In “A Journey to Happiness,” she recounts her travels to the most dangerous corners of the world—and the people who showed her that happiness has nothing to do with favorable external circumstances—with plenty of humor, depth, and striking imagery. An inspiring, touching, and surprisingly joyful evening about courage, humanity, and the magic of life.
