Live at the AGO: Amanda Martinez

Free with General Admission ticket, for Members and Annual Passholders.
IMPORTANT!: Seating is limited to first come, first served. Doors open at 6:30pm. Admission ticket does not guarantee a seat for the performance. I suggest we arrive early to get seats (I'm happy to start lining up at 5.45pm -maybe earlier if needed. I'll update in the comments section nearer the time). If we don't get to sit together then maybe we can meet afterwards for a drink
Celebrating the opening of Recuerdo: Latin American Photography exhibition, the AGO is hosting Toronto-based musician Amanda Martinez. World Music Central has hailed her as 'one of the great new voices in Spanish-language Latin music,' and with five critically acclaimed albums—Sola, Amor, Mañana, Libre, and, most serendipitously, her latest release, Recuerdo Protected content has captivated audiences worldwide.
Amanda Martinez has sold out Ottawa’s National Arts Centre, Toronto’s Koerner Hall, and Winter Garden Theatres. She has performed internationally, including at the Dubai International Jazz Festival (with Jesse Cook), the Protected content World Cup festivities in South Africa, the Pan-American Games in Guadalajara, and New York City’s esteemed Blue Note Jazz Club. A favorite of the world music Putumayo label, she has appeared on six of their collections, including Bossa Nova Around the World, Latin Dreamland, Café Latino, Mexico, and Bossa Nova Amanda.
See you there!
