Hike Mitake-san, Hinode-yama w/ Option of Onsen & Yoshino Baigo

We'll traverse Mitake-san, Hinode-yama, the famous Plum Park Yoshino Baigo & the village of Ome. I will be leading the hike.
We depart Protected content
Our net vertical climb is Protected content . There is a bus and cable car to take us up to Mitake Village, however the group will decide at the time of arrival to Mitake whether to hike or take the transportation.
There are good views of the Kanto plain towards central Tokyo, and the Mitake temple area and mountaintop village are quite scenic. Lunch will be at the top of Hinodeyama. The departing train station will be Hinatawada.
Our time in motion is about 5 hours. We should get to our return
station by about 16:00 at the latest, and be back to Shinjuku by 17:30 or 18:00 if you choose not to take the options listed below. Sundown is around 7:30 but the group should be off the mountain by 4pm.
This hike will end with the onsen option where we will decide whether to go to an onsen nearby.
Please bring the necessary items for making your hike safe and fun. e.g. 2 liters of water, hiking stick, boots, hat and sun screen.
Please let us know if you plan on attending so that we can be looking out for you at the train platform.
