Père Lachaise - Allerheiligen
Dear Paris-German Members and Friends,
We call this day "Allerheiligen" in German.
On All Saints Day, let us gather for a stroll around the world famous “Père Lachaise” cemetery in the 20th arrondissement, where numerous celebrities are buried and where Catholics honour their dead by decorating their tombs with flowers and candles.
We will enjoy the unique atmosphere on that day and visit the gravesites of famous musicians, writers, painters and others, like
Frédéric Chopin, Luigi Cherubini, Giacomo Rossini, Edith Piaff, Molière, George Bizet or Maria Callas.
There are also some famous Germans like Max Ernst or Samuel Hahnemann who are on the Père Lachaise for eternity.
Karl-Heinz, who knows the place very well, will guide you on the Père-Lachaise.
Start: 3:00 pm sharp (we will wait no longer than 10 minutes)
Bestens/ Best regards/ Bien à vous
Arnd WOLFRAM & Karl-Heinz SCHABMUELLER
