Rugby - Six Nations
So is rugby a cultural thing ? Oh yes !
Rugby is profoundly a cultural phenomenon
rather than just a sport, deeply embedded in the national identity, history, and social fabric of countries like New Zealand, South Africa, Wales, and Fiji. It fosters a unique, global culture centered on camaraderie, respect, and tradition, often serving as a symbol of pride.
This coming Saturday the final 3 matches will be played.
Only Scotland and France can still win the title.
At 15h10 kick off Ireland-Scotland. After at 17h40 Wales against Italy (no importance) and then the final match between France and England at 21h10.
The Barrel Oak in Montreux is an Irish bar that shows many sport games. While watching the games you can enjoy a Guinness (or any other drink) and order a fish and chips or a burger.
If we are lucky a rugby coach will join us and he can explain the rules of the game.
