The South of Chile: Adventure Between Pacific and Andes
We will explore Chile, one of the most fascinating countries of South America.
Bordered by Peru, Bolivia, Argentina and the Pacific ocean, Chile stretches over more than 4.000 kilometers from North to South, yet only Protected content from East to West in its widest part. The country is as slender as it is diverse, as it covers all climate zones and boasts the most spectacular landscapes - the Atacama desert, the snowcapped peaks and volcanoes of the Andes, evergreen wine growing valleys and, obviously, the large glaciers and deep fjord systems of Patagonia.
A maritime country, Chile has a wild coastline and its offshore dependency, the Easter Island famous for its impressive statue alignements, is located some 3.500 kilometers far from the mainland. Some of the major cities are the capital Santiago counting over 10 millions inhabitants, the harbour town of Valparaiso, Viña del Mar and Concepcion.
Our trip will focus on the Southern part of Chile, its national parcs and wineries, starting from Santiago which has the country's biggest international airport.
