We'll travel Protected content back in time, when the Romans conquered the North bank of the Lippe river and founded the Aliso Camp, which became their major power hub in the region. Nowadays the LWL Roman Museum of Haltern am See, located exactly here, shows over Protected content as well as reconstructed buildings from the Aliso Camp, giving the visitor a deep insight about the Romans' everyday life far from their home, their culture and their technological achievements. The museum is accessible by car and also by public transportation (train and bus) from Cologne, Düsseldorf and other cities around.
