Quand par hasard, Babette est amenée à partager son appartement parisien avec Edo, un réfugié congolais, Maoussi, une souris en fuite, se pointe aussi et chamboule leur quotidien. Elle s'immisce entre les deux étrangers tel un enfant adopté et les contraint à faire face a leurs attentes divergentes de l’amour.

Danish Babette is a professional dancer who lives in Paris. In her private life, she is becoming a hardened bachelor. Edo is just supposed to stay with Babette for a few nights. Nora, the matchmaker, has arranged this while he has gigs in Paris...
Babette has no children, but she gets Maoussi with Edo from Congo. Maoussi is a white laboratory mouse who, like black Edo, has escaped from many ordeals. After a short stay in her grandmother's vase, Maoussi is adopted by Edo and Babette and soon takes on the role of the child they won't have.
