Dear art lover,
a new exhibition not far away from Mainz: An artist, who is rather unknown.
"Hélène de Beauvoir - See with different eyes" meet the sister of Simone de Beauvoir.
"Featuring some unpublished works from her estate and other collections, the exhibition explores the extent to which Hélène de Beauvoir succeeded in conveying personal and political concerns through a complex visual language. From the outset, the artist – who worked as a painter for over 60 years – pursued her own style and ignored the abstract currents of Modernism. Indeed, her path trod a thin line between realism and abstraction."
