Let´s Visit Together: THE SCHARF COLLECTION in Düsseldorf
Dear Art Lover,
With around Protected content , the Kunstpalast Düsseldorf presents the impressive collection, which spans from the early 19th century to the present day. In addition to masterpieces by Claude Monet, Auguste Renoir, Paul Cézanne, and Pierre Bonnard, works by Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec and Henri Matisse are also shown—another focus of the Scharf Collection.
Until now, the Scharf Collection had been kept entirely anonymous and was only publicly visible through a small number of loans. The exhibition, jointly conceived with the Alte Nationalgalerie in Berlin, where it was a major public success, has been expanded in Düsseldorf by more than 60 works. These include works by Edgar Degas and Henri Matisse as well as Japanese woodblock prints from the 19th century. The exhibition brings together paintings, works on paper, and sculptures from three centuries.
Long way to go to Düsseldorf, but it is worthy!
Looking forward to seeing you.
