Beyond Molotovs Reclaiming Antifascist Futures
In light of the global rise of authoritarianism, it is time to rethink and realign antifascist strategies—by bringing together decolonial, migrant, feminist, workers’, ecological, and other struggles, and by opening up perspectives for radical transformation that go beyond merely defending the existing order.
This involves artistic and creative forms of resistance against authoritarian regimes and policies, as well as reflecting on the significance of experiences of community and the role of emotions in political engagement.
The exhibition “Beyond Molotovs – Reclaiming Antifascist Futures” brings together several international examples. It will be on view from 20 February Protected content 23 March Protected content part of the accompanying program of the 29th Antifascist Social Conference at the Pavillon Cultural Center.
The exhibition is based on research conducted for the book Beyond Molotovs – A Visual Handbook of Anti-Authoritarian Counterstrategies by the International Research Group on Authoritarianism and Counterstrategies and the orangotango collective.
