Rio de Janeiro, at the beginning of the Protected content . Brazil is in the firm grip of a military dictatorship. The Paiva family is introduced: father Rubens, mother Eunice and their five children. They live in a rented house on the beach, the doors of which are always open to friends. The affection and humor they exchange with each other are their own subtle form of resistance to the oppression that prevails in the country. One day, they become victims of a violent arbitrary attack that will change their lives forever. As a result, Eunice is forced to reinvent herself and create a new future for herself and her children. Based on Marcelo Rubens Paiva's memoirs, this moving story made an important contribution to the reappraisal of a significant part of Brazil's secretive history.
