InterNations — A Community for American Expats in Amman

Hello to all Americans in Amman! Are you interested in getting to know fellow expats in Amman? Looking for advice from other Americans, e.g. wondering if there are any bars in Amman which will be showing your favorite baseball or American football team’s upcoming match or where to go in town for st■ turkey?

There’s no doubt about it: Amman is Jordan’s cultural, political, and economic center. The capital is a quickly growing city known for its important banking sector and being a popular Arab location among multinational corporations, but also for its liberal lifestyle, cultural sights, and much more! With the shared, route-bound taxis (painted white) and affordable private taxi services (painted yellow), navigating your way around the city from one place to the next is simple. This also means that if you don’t want to live among the hustle and bustle of the center, you can enjoy a quieter life in the more residential areas of the fourth to seventh circle area, for example, which are up to a 15-minute car ride away from Amman’s center.

Although Amman has lots to offer, you might be wondering where and how you can meet other Americans in the city. Luckily, InterNations is here to make this easier for you! You’re warmly invited to join the InterNations community. Within our international network in Amman, there’s a vibrant circle of American expats from all regions of USA, including New York City, Los Angeles, and beyond.
