SUBLET in Barcelona (August)
I’m subletting part of my apartment for a period of 2 to 3 weeks in August and am looking for a responsible, clean, non-smoking person or couple. This very bright apartment
is calm & sunny, fully furnished and located in the historical part of Barcelona.
To learn more about the neighborhood, quickly research: Gothic Quarter, Barcelona. The apartment is quite large and on the other side of the apartment, will reside one person, a very thoughtful, polite, quiet and respectful friend who is working on his post Doc at MIT.
About the Apartment
It’s a spacious bedroom + living quarters + workspace (see pictures) with a charming, private terrace, perfect for having breakfast, taking in the sun, reading or enjoying a glass of crisp Spanish wine.
The spacious living room with sofa and Bauhaus style table is divided in different areas for your comfort and tranquility: the 3 huge window-doors allow the light to come in all day and create a vibrant, yet relaxing environment. The rustic wall, traditional Catalan ceiling and wooden beams in the living room create a cozy atmosphere. The aim is to create a peaceful environment which allows for privacy, while creating an easy-going meeting place for meals. The workspace includes a desk and ergonomic chair, ideal if you need to work.
The bedroom, which is simple and introverted, has a new King sized and very comfortable bed and large built-in closet.
The flat has a nice, cozy atmosphere and it’s like living in a country home in the middle of the city. The perfectly equipped and independent kitchen and bar with a very practical table -warm and elegant- recalls the old clubs and cafes and is the ideal place to enjoy a nice and convivial meal.
Location and Nearby Attractions
Another positive aspect of the apartment is its amazing location. The apartment is located in the center of the Gothic Quarter between the historic Plaza del Pi and the Plaza Real with a 5-minute walk to the metro (red and green lines), the world famous Boqueria and Santa Caterina Markets and Plaza Catalunya.
It’s a ten-minute walk to the Port and beach; a 5-minute walk to the avant-garde Born neighborhood or multicultural and edgy Raval neighborhood and a ten-minute walk to the Ciutadella Park. The location is amazing, especially if you like to sightsee, explore, people watch, go to restaurants and café’s and exercise.
The Gothic Quarter is the premiere center for cultural and social activities in Barcelona and there’s a plethora of great cafes, restaurants, clubs, boutiques, museums and theatres within 5 minutes walking distance.
