Questions about being an artist in Bern

Hi. I'm an American assemblage artist & jewelry designer moving to Bern in November. I'd like to connect to other English-speaking artists and craftspeople in the area. I'm interested in hearing about available studio space, exhibition opportunities, artist grants, art markets and arts organizations. In Berlin, where I have lived for the last 4 years, I organized a monthly English-speaking artist salon that became very popular and I am considering something similar in Bern once I get the lay of the land. I'd welcome information and advice and would love to make new contacts and friends.
