Clothing (Cairo)

Hi all,
This August, I will be moving to New Cairo from Canada for at least the next two years to teach.

I was wondering if anyone had advice about clothing. Should I pack lighter, and try to buy more modest clothes, made out of lighter materials when I arrive in Egypt? I'm finding it a bit difficult to find more modest garments, that aren't heavy and hot where I currently am in Canada.

Any/advice about moving to Egypt is greatly appreciated!
