With the local bus services, the Chennai Metro Rail, as well inexpensive suburban trains, navigating your way around the city from one place to the next is simple. This also means that if you don’t want to live among the hustle and bustle of the center, you can enjoy a quieter life in one of the newer developments south of the city, such as Sholinganallur or Kovilambakkam, which are not always well connected, though, and can sometimes be a bit of a commute away from Chennai’s center.
