Live-in domestic help (Chennai)

Myself, husband and daughter will moving to Chennai in August Protected content work and we're really excited about this move. We are considering getting a helper to do some cleaning (vacuuming, dusting, wash dishes and some laundry) make the evening meal for the family and look after our little one for a couple of hours in the afternoon Monday to Friday (when she's not in nursery, she'll be 2 and a half years old by then) and maybe a couple of nights a week when myself and my husband need to attend a function or have a meal out together.
Is this available? If so, how much - including fees and bonus payments?
Would it be more of an advantage to have someone live-in, or come along each day?
