There’s no doubt about it: Chisinau is Moldova’s financial and business center. The Moldovan capital is a rather unassuming city known for its many parks, the Stalinist architecture and later Soviet-period buildings , and much more! With the bus, trolleybus, and rutieră (privately owned minibuses on fixed routes), navigating your way around the city from one place to the next is simple. This also means that if you don’t want to live among the hustle and bustle of the center, you can enjoy a quieter life in Rascani or Botanica, for example, which are five to fifteen kilometers away from Chisinau’s center.
