Nepalese holiday (Kathmandu)

I'll be moving to Nepal in August for 7 1/2 months and i must say i'm pretty excited about it! Can't wait!

Well I'm not gone yet, but already, my family and friends are making plans to visit me while I'll be working in Nepal. So I was wondering what are the dates of the majors national holiday in October and November so I might be off work to enjoy there company when they'll visit!

I've been told there was couples of days/weeks off around those dates, but I can't figure out what they are more precisely... can you guys help me with that?
