Stay for 1 year in Khatmandu (Kathmandu)

I am evaluating one job offer for which I have to stay in Nepal Khatmandu for 1 year.
I have few questions if someone can help me to find answers.
1) How is the law & order situation in KTM?
2) I am Muslim so how dense is the muslim community in KTM?
3) Is halal food available (meat, chicken etc)
4) How is the standard of health facilities?
5) Is there any shortage of basic necessities (load shedding, water problem etc) in KTM?
