Young new traveller looking for work and living (Managua)

I am getting ready to start my life of travels and Nicaragua is my first stop. I am not sure what location in Ncaragua yet but I plan to leave there for at least 6 months to a year and am keeping an opened mind for work.

Though I am currently going to school to be am English teacher.

I also am looking for cheap safe places to reside... Hostels most likely.

Any advice or connections I can make prior to leaving this September?? That would be wonderful please!
