Whether you're a Newcomer or an Oldtimer in Munich, there will be something for every expat at the upcoming Newcomers Festival on Sunday 27 April at the Praterinsel in Munich from Protected content .
Sponsored by the Bavarian Economics Ministry and the City of Munich, the 6th annual Newcomers Festival will feature as many as 50 exhibitors and up to 2,500 visitors. The event consists of an extensive presentation of Munich institutions, businesses and organizations. Musical entertainment and refreshments with a local flair round out the afternoon. Admission to the event is free for the entire family.
This year, all visitors will also receive a free copy of Protected content of the Newcomers Guide – Welcome to Munich and Bavaria. This 92-page A4 book is specifically targeted for the international community and takes readers stepb-by-step through the process of adjusting to life in the region. It includes alot of useful information about education, housing, legal issues, entertainment, tourism, sports, English-speaking clubs, and much more.
The Newcomers Festival is designed to be a family-oriented and informative event that helps the international community get off to a good start in their two-to-three year stay in Munich and the region.
The Newcomers Festival consists of an extensive exhibition of services, clubs and organizations in the area. Parallel to the exhibition, seminars and workshops will present practical information about living and working in Bavaria. In addition, there will be musical entertainment, as well as food and drink reflecting the local gastronomy. Admission to the event is free.
