Admin&Inside Sales for German Electronics Company (New York)


For over 30 years our global group of companies has served the electronics industry as a manufacturer of DC/DC converters, AC/DC modules, switching regulators and LED drivers as standard catalog products for fast delivery. Our principle markets are in the performance–oriented industrial control, medical industries data processing, transportation (incl. avionics), telecommunications, military and test equipment although our converters are used in virtually every industry requiring low-to-medium DC voltage conversion in the 0. Protected content range. We serve large original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and smaller, lower volume users through our network of sales representative firms and distributors in North America.

Job Summary:

For our office in Brooklyn, NY (DUMBO) we are looking for an energetic and aggressive admin/ inside sales support person. Very good communication and sales skills on the phone and a high level of attention to detail are essential for this position. Your job is two fold: half your time will be spent doing administrative tasks (database management, shipments, mailings) the other half will be supporting the sales department (phone calls, quotes, distributor support, and project follow up).

Job Responsibilities:

• Distributing leads to our sales network, quoting and follow up
• Accurate data entry utilizing CRM and extranet systems
• Following up with accounts on behalf of sales department when necessary
• Professional interaction with internal departments and external distributors, sales reps and customers
• Working with admin department in Europe to ensure shipments are accurate and delivered on time
• Working closely with accounts receivable team to uncover & track down payment on overdue invoices
• Internal and external company correspondences including newsletters, press releases, and partner website review
• Following up with accounts on behalf of sales department when necessary
• Day to day, and special projects may be assigned

Job Qualifications:
• 2-3 yrs experience in a similar role
• Bachelor’s Degree is a plus
• Proficient in Excel/Outlook/Word/PowerPoint/Internet
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently, and make decisions
• US work permit is preferred
