Public Affairs Consultant needed (Singapore)
The Asia Group Advisory, with offices in Singapore and Jakarta, is a strategic advisory group to leading corporations and organizations with business interests in the Asia-Pacific region. Our clients span a range of industries including energy, natural resources, financial services, logistics, renewable energy, information & communications technology, and infrastructure.
The Asia Group Advisory is undergoing regional expansion, and we are currently seeking to recruit a number of management consultants specifically at an Associate level, based in Jakarta or Singapore.
Structuring, proposing solutions for client challenges and issues
Building, maintaining, and managing client relationships
Preparing detailed reports, briefings and other materials for clients
Providing in-country, on-the-ground support for ongoing client programs and client development activities around the region
Working effectively with team members and project leaders to deliver best-in-class solutions to clients
Working on special projects as needed and assigned
Required experience and qualifications:
Master’s degree in business, economics, international relations, communications, law or related field
2-3 years relevant experience, e.g., management consulting, strategic communications, government relations, corporate affairs
Experience working on one or more of the following sectors: IT, natural resource management, logistics, energy, financial services
Familiarity and experience with Indonesia, Thailand, Myanmar, Vietnam, Malaysia, and/or the Philippines
Exposure to government relations, public relations, and stakeholder management
Experience dealing with organizational and performance management issues
Have high-level interpersonal negotiation and communication skills, including experience in cross-cultural environments and international settings
Can demonstrate an ability to develop and maintain sound working relationships with government representatives, public and private sector organizations, non- governmental organizations, and other stakeholders
Have the ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment
Are comfortable presenting complex solutions in clear and concise language
Have above average computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
Have the ability to multitask and adhere to deadlines while managing multiple projects
Must have high integrity and reliability
Possess excellent organizational skills
Have the ability to work independently as well as in a team
Are flexible and adaptable to constantly changing priorities
Have sound judgment and the ability to handle highly confidential material
Have a positive attitude, flexible nature, and thrive in a constantly changing environment
Have highly articulate English language skills, both written and oral
Excellent research skills
Speak a second language (preferably Bahasa or Thai)
Salary to be commensurate to experience and qualifications.
