What is Stuttgart Like?

Hello all
This might sound like a silly question but I am thinking of moving to Stuttgart for a short period of time. I work as a type of neurosurgeon and am British. I studied in London where i finished my training after which i moved to Stockholm to work and continue training and learning. There is an excellent surgeon in Stuttgart who i think i could learn a lot from so was thinking of sending a year or so with him but would like to know what life is like before i commit and start relearning german.
