Canadian Alliance of British Pensioners - AGM (Toronto)

Calling all UK Pensioners or those who expect to get a UK State Pension one day. You may not be aware, but, when you get (or start to get) your UK State Pension, you will find that you will not receive the annual increase. For some UK Nationals who retired many years ago, it has meant that they have received as much as $100,000 less than if they had stayed in the UK.

About a dozen years ago, some volunteers set up the not-for-profit Canadian Alliance of British Pensioners (CABP), and they have been campaigning here in Canada, in the UK to ensure that all UK Pensioners get the same annual increase, regardless of where they choose to retire.

CABP are having their Annual General Meeting on Saturday 18th June, at Sir John Colborne Recreation Centre for Seniors, Protected content Lakeshore Road West, Oakville, Ontario, L6L 6N1. The meeting starts at 2pm, but doors are open for registration at 1pm. Everyone is welcome.
