Indian Visa Complications (Tunis)

Hello!
I've recently been informed that, due to my presence in Tunisia as a tourist, non resident card holder, I (American) an unable to use the local Indian embassy for vida services. However, having thought I was preparing for application for an Indian tourist visa most diligently, I previously acquired the necessary plane tickets. Thus, I'm in a bit of a bind, with airlines amd embassies wanting me out on different days. (I'm looking at a ticket put on the 27th.)
I'm not sure anyone has any related insight, but any and all would be greatly appreciated.
