Electra From Epidaurus: Greek Theatre on Screen
Join fellow members for the U.S. premiere of Sophocles' Electra, a Greek production that premiered at the Ancient Theatre of Epidaurus in Protected content . It later toured Greece and Cyprus before director Dimitri Tarlow adapted it for an indoor stage.
Tarlow sets the tragedy in a dark European cabaret. The story of Electra becomes a study of justice, revenge, violence and resistance. The performance is in Greek with English subtitles. The screening runs Protected content and will be followed by a Q&A with Tarlow.
I will not attend this activity in person. Members who plan to go can use the activity wall to introduce themselves and arrange where to meet.
