Fantastic Views Around La Roche-En-Ardenne

For our last hike in Belgium this Summer, let's start in the charming village of La Roche-en-Ardenne. This 14km hike will start in the town and take us through the Parc naturel des deux Ourthes; then past a couple of old churches, and along the Path Between Shade and Light. It will mainly be on hiking paths and a good amount will be forested.

Although this is not a difficult route, it is a hike, NOT a walk. There will be a total of 270m uphill, with with the first part a bit steep. Good fitness and hiking boots are required. As long as it is not raining a lot, we're going to hike! If it's been raining recently, parts can be muddy, so an extra pair of shoes is required, especially if you are riding in someone else's car.

La Roche-en-Ardenne is approx 122km from Brussels - 1:25 hours drive. Carpooling is encouraged, so if you are able to offer a ride, please let others know. The suggested contribution to the driver is €15. There should be parking at La Roche parking; otherwise, there are a couple other parking lots nearby.

Bring water and your lunch for on the way. Afterward, we can have a drink in the center of La Roche and you just might want to stay to enjoy this wonderful historic town!!
