Hike in the Charming Countryside in Écaussinnes

Let's explore a new area not very far from Brussels. This 14km hike starts in Écaussinnes and takes us through fields and forest.

Although this is not a difficult route, it is a hike, not a walk. No major elevation expected on this hike, but a short part is slightly steep. Good fitness and good footwear are needed. As long as it is not raining a lot, we're going to hike! If it's been raining recently, parts can be muddy, so an extra pair of shoes is required, especially if you are riding in someone else's car.

The starting point is approx 60km from Brussels - less than an hour's drive. Carpooling encouraged so if you are able to offer a ride, please let others know. There is a parking lot at the starting point. The carpooling fee is €8.

Bring water and your picnic lunch for on the way. If we find a watering hole in Écaussinnes, we can have a drink there afterward.
