Gentle Hatha Yoga - Never Too Late to Try!
Why do YOGA?
"Yoga may hold a key to aging well, suggests a growing body of research into its potential benefits for body and mind — benefits that include reducing heart rate and blood pressure, relieving anxiety and depression, and easing back pain. One recent study even raised the possibility of positive changes in biological markers of aging and stress in people who do yoga.
"While yoga enthusiasts are often pictured as young and bendy, the reality, according to the Yoga in America study, is that 17 percent are in their 50s and 21 percent are age 60 and older." - Washington Post 10 Dec. Protected content
Sessions will be slow and gentle with time for beginners and more advanced students to adjust in each asana/pose, but at the same time challenging. For the more demanding poses, a variation will be offered to meet broad needs and abilities.
- "Thank you so much! It was a great class.. experienced some of the poses for the first time yet it felt so smooth:)"
- "Nice stretches, every time a focus on a different aspect, really good classes each time, thanks !"
- "Great sequence of hip exercises, with explanations well in consensus with speed"
- "Excellent yoga session, good mix of balance, stretch and relaxation!!"
I strongly encourage the use of props in the classes. Please bring two yoga blocks, a yoga belt and a blanket - or equivalent - to the session.
