"Donne in Corse" to Celebrate International Women’s Day

Lets have some fun together on International Women’s Day, 8th March, and, for at least the females amongst us, go on a meaningful walk in Modena centro! 🚶‍♀️🏃‍♀️

For some years now, I have gone on this non-competitive 3km walk for girls, ladies and women to show solidarity to the female cause. Organized by UISP Modena, for precise details, see the official event page:

We meet in Piazza Roma at 10:00, 15 min before the walk starts in order to also register if necessary (you can book your place on the walk in advance by visiting RUN&FUN or LUPO SPORT during opening hours). It is best for each one of the walkers to sign up independently, paying the entry fee of €5 and picking up the event t-shirt (normally very yellow!!)

Men are welcome too. The walk which is public will take around 40 minutes through the streets of the centro so can be followed if one wants. However, it might be easiest for the men to just have a coffee or like after seeing the women off…. and welcome them back to Piazza Roma.

The intention is that, after the walk, our group regathers and freshens up with an aperitivo somewhere nearby, inviting any other friends, female or not, that we are bound to meet or make on the way.
